Let me say that this gap is not for carpets, period. It has no kind of bar and bat from slipping on the carpet at all. I had so quickly after dinner cleaning child to do. The Central has a good design and aspiration. And 'light and it would be nice to wear with hose to clean the corners, but this capability is limited nooks and crannies, as it tends fasteners missing or pillow. After I was through my wood floors are a little 'dust and suck anything and I do not think that my floors were dirty. My complaint is that the determination of soil must be reconsidered, which is a shame because it is mostly why I bought this unit. The part that runs along the floor by 8 inches wide, but in reality only half maybe a 2-inch hole for aspiration. Not the rest, well, suck. It is not even an opening for them. I do not know why this thing is still 8 inches wide, could only be 2 inches or more and the same task. Just as I pushed a lot of crumbs and Cheerios with her, only half of the stack would be collected, very frustrating. It is strong if not stronger than any other vacuum cleaner with a sound like the most.

In response to comments UPDATE: It 'true that the vacuum and tape the hole in the middle is the problem with this, only it cleans. I still have a vaccine, with a similar structure that has the same hole and out of rooms on either side. Cleans the entire width of the head. So, the problem with this.
Note that I use in my review in my opinion, based on the trading plan. NOT carpet. I said that anyone who thought it would be to think otherwise. So do not compare in an upright position. My intentions are well positioned in the vacuum of my text. I wanted to quickly clean wood floors, after my kids dinner. My intent was not to compare this with a straight … I have a Kirby for these jobs.
For this reason I maintain what I said in my first test. The head is not working well, even in comparison with similar aspirations.

We use this wood floors and it works well. I left out a star because I do not think that the desire would be enough for a carpet. In general, I am with the price of the product and very satisfied.

This vacuum is a bargain for the money. It works like a charm on both carpets and wooden / brick. Its suction power is amazing for a small, inexpensive vacuum. I wish there was something more robust in its tube / sweeper combination, but I can live with it. If you want to use this vacuum to clean the carpet, you must use the set-up (retracted brush) and it works great.
If you are looking for a nice bottle of expensive, and the suction power vac cleaning, looking around to buy it encounters. It's not perfect, but it's what you do and the money is a godsend.
